How To Have A Romantic And Cost Effective Valentines Day!
59How Can I Make It Simpler?
Valentines Day is quite a stressful and expensive time for many couples every year. Iv written some tips and ideas, to reduce both the worries and the cost from your perfect day with your loved one.
Tips And Tricks
- Run you loved one a bath. You can put candles all around the outside, a bag of 40 tea lights is extremely cheap, you can sprinkle petals over the top, you could add lots of bath salts and oils to make it more relaxing. You could sit on the edge and give your partner a nice massage while they soak. You could put a portable CD player in the bathroom and play some calming music. This will show them that you really care and want to treat them, whilst spending minimal money.
- Cook them their favourite meal by yourself. This shows that you know the other person well and listen to them and shows you care. Set the table using the best plates and cutlery you have and use a table cloth to set the atmosphere. Also use candles and buy some nice wine that compliments the food. Lead them in and let them sit down first and then serve the food to them. Also make sure you have some nice desert ready, even if its just some vanilla ice cream with chocolate flakes in simple bowls. This shows you've made a lot of effort for the other person but can easily still be a lovely evening. They will feel like they've had a dinner out and you will be glad of the money saved.
- Make up a picnic of all your boyfriend/girlfriends favourite foods and take them to a romantic quiet place to have a nice lunch together. This will be a change as its unlikely that you get the time to do this. You may think it's boring before you go but you will realise the quiet, the change of scenery and the thought gone into it will make you appreciate the other person more and mean you can have a nice time chatting and having a laugh together instead.
- Go for a romantic walk. You will get some exercise and will see new scenery which will make it feel like you're doing something different to normal. You will get the opportunity to have a nice talk and it is effectively completely free.
- Put on your partners favourite movie. Get in loads of their favourite snacks and drinks and grab a duvet and get all cuddled up on the sofa. This is a lovely way to show that you listen to your partner and pay attention to them and also gives you the perfect opportunity to be affectionate to them. It is also very cost efficient. You could combine this with some of the other tips to give them even more of a treat!
- You could treat them to a relaxing evening, by giving them a back massage and/or a foot massage, using essential oils or their favourite body lotion. This will make them feel appreciated and will relax them. Massaging also builds the bonds between you both as touching in a non sexual way will bring you closer as people.
- You could write them a romantic letter that tells them exactly how you feel about them and read it to them when they are soaking in the bath, or when you go on the picnic. This will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the relationship, answer any they have and share memories you have together. This will help you bond, and a way to find out where the relationship is heading, and if its in the right direction for you. This is also a completely free option.
- You could take them to see a new band that are the same genre as they usually like, and aren't as well known so the tickets aren't as expensive. They may really enjoy themselves and find a new favourite band, or it might be really terrible and you can laugh about it together and go take a romantic walk or treat them to a home cooked meal. Trying something new together will bring you closer.
Well, I really hope these tips help or give you some ideas and inspiration of your own and I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day! Please let me know if any of these tips worked for you this year!
